Nathan Thrall is a Senior Analyst with the Middle East & North Africa Program of the International Crisis Group, for which he covers Gaza, Israel, Jordan and the West Bank. His writing has appeared in The New York TimesThe New RepublicForeign Affairs, GQ, Slate, and The New York Review of Books. A contributing editor at Tablet Magazine and a former member of the editorial staff of The New York Review of Books, he appears frequently in print and broadcast media, including The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, The Washington Post, Al-Jazeera, the BBC, NPR, and CNN. He received a BA from the University of California and an MA in politics from Columbia University. He lives in Jerusalem.
